ROBOTICS

We know that the oldest proposal for an intelligent tool capable of doing human work dates back to 320 BC, with the famous quote from Aristotle according to which “If any instrument, on command or spontaneously, could do the job that suits it .. .there would be no need for apprentices for the master craftsmen or slaves f or the lords.” Today, the presence of robots in various applications, both industrial and domestic, is an increasingly normal condition.

The first programmable robotic arm capable of performing tasks was developed by George Devol and Joe Engelberger . Later, it spread under the name of UNIMATE, the first industrial robot. It was introduced on the General Motors assembly line in 1961, mostly performing repetitive and dangerous tasks on the automotive production line.

Integration of Robots in production contexts in the classic applications of pick & place, palletization, machine tool tendingand customized solutions for special applications.
