MOTION CONTROL

The Motion Controller is the “brain” of any motion control system. In feedback systems, it sends a command to the drive, compares it with the motor feedback signal and introduces the corrective action necessary to align the output signal (desired position) to the input signal (current position), ideally with minimum error.

The Motion Con troller also defines the trajectories that the motor must follow to carry out the commands entered. It is also known as motion profile, where a profile is a sequence of position commands as a function of time, which indicates to the motor where to position the load and at what speed. The Motion Controller uses the trajectories created to generate adequate torque or speed commands, which are then transmitted to the drive that drives the motor.

Process control/automation with Motion Controller for automatic machines and systems where precision in motion control, positioning accuracy, high dynamism and high performance are required.
